About Us

Street Havens at the Crossroads offers integrated training programs tailored to support women from equity-deserving groups. These services are part of a comprehensive approach to build foundational skills, boost confidence, and promote lifelong learning through literacy, life skills, housing, and wellness workshops.

Mission

Street Haven provides integrated support for women as they move forward in their own journey. Their mission emphasizes creating an inclusive community that empowers women to grow and thrive, offering pathways toward independence through a variety of services where women support women.

Impact

The Training Services team at Street Haven is a passionate and dynamic group committed to meeting clients where they are—both in life and location. We deliver a wide range of mobile services that include Literacy and Basic Skills support, Employment Readiness, and Life and Social Skills development. Our specialized programs, such as Pathways to Independence, foster housing stability, growth, resilience, and self-reliance. Rooted in accessibility, simplicity, and empowerment, our mission is to create lasting change in the lives of women through holistic, client-centered training.

Eligibility

Client must be:

Life Skills Workshops

We provide assistance and support for women at all stages of the employment pathway. Through the Life Skills Workshops, women can receive guided assistance towards their goals of employment, increased independence and stability.

We provide individualized consultations, where learners receive assistance to complete applications, learn about exciting programs offered in the community, or receive advice and training beneficial for their educational and employment goals, and more.

We also provide free workshops for women on the following topics:

  • Community Integration :

Opportunities for residents to socialize, volunteer, and become mentors within the community.

Emergency Shelter Location

Addressing the comprehensive needs of clients, including physical, emotional, and social aspects.

This Employment Ontario Literacy and Basic Skills is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario and through the Canada- Ontario Job Fund Agreement.

Our Pre-Employment Program and Computer Access is funded by the Government of Canada’s Homelessness Partnering Strategy, administered by the City of Toronto.
