Periods shouldn't come at a cost. Today is Menstrual Health Day, and we're proud to spotlight our partnership with @theperiodpurse It started at the University of Toronto's Women's Advocacy and Outreach Convention back in March. Our tables were right next to each other, so we got talking with Kristy from The Period Purse, and a beautiful partnership was born. Now, The Period Purse regularly donates menstrual products to Street Haven so none of our clients ever have to go without. Today, The Period Purse team is at Queen's Park raising a flag and filling the gallery to push for accessible period products for everyone. Smiles all around at Grant House! 😁🦷💙 We had the most incredible visit from the Build Your Smile Dental Foundation, who came and screened ALL of our clients for dental concerns, completely free of charge. Those in urgent need will soon be enrolled for ongoing care, and every client received a dental kit to take home. We were also gifted clothing donations. What a day! What an incredible weekend! 🏠 This @doors_opento we got to open up 87 Pembroke and share our story with the most wonderful people. From neighbours from down the street, long-time donors, to curious new faces, we loved getting to share our house with you all. The genuine interest and care you all showed us truly filled our hearts. A massive thank you to our incredible shelter and housing team who gave tours all weekend long — Rahwa, Mimi, Jessica, Dera, and Debby.
