Say hello to Michele and Vinay, the newest additions to the Street Haven team! 👋 Michele is our new Community Integration Specialist, working her magic to connect employees with employers. Fun fact: she's usually one of the first ones in the office, greeting everyone with a cheery "good morning!" Vinay just joined us as an Employment Coach, helping clients nail everything from resumes to interviews to feeling ready for that next opportunity. She's only been here a few weeks but has already jumped in headfirst. She even marched with us in the Pride parade during her very first week! ☀️ Sun, sand, and so much fun! Yesterday, the Street Haven team headed to the beach for a well-deserved staff wellness day 🌊 The day was packed with games, beach time, and (of course) incredible food from our very own Pearl and the amazing kitchen team. The work we do is meaningful, but it isn't always easy. That's exactly why days like this are so important. It gives our team a chance to slow down, reconnect, and just enjoy each other's company! And in true Street Haven fashion, there was music, dancing, and plenty of laughter throughout the day. The garage glow up we didn't know we needed✨ Our community has been showing out with the furniture donations lately, and our garage was officially overflowing with generosity! We had so much amazing stuff for our clients that we needed to hit pause and do a massive organizational reset. Enter: RBC volunteers 🙌 Our volunteer ambassador Rudy came through (as always) and pulled together a squad of 5 volunteers with almost no notice. They cleared the space, organized every single piece, and set up a full inventory system so we can keep saying YES to future donations. Then the best part: with everything perfectly organized, we were able to quickly pack up a van with furniture and essentials so a client moving into her first permanent home had everything she needed to make it actually feel like HOME. 🏡💛 This is what community looks like.
