What a day at the @yorkvillerun 🧡 We hung out with our co-founder Jordan, ran alongside our incredible lead fundraiser Daniel (@dc.rainbowjeans ), who has raised $7,803.83 and counting, and met so many amazing community partners, donors, and former residents who came out to celebrate with us, including @limab . We were also honoured to have Ontario's Solicitor General, Michael Kerzner (@mppkerzner), join us for the day in support of women rebuilding their lives after crisis. The energy was unreal. Every high five, every donor who stopped to say hi, every former resident who came back to run with us, that's the Street Haven community in one place, and it filled our hearts. We're SO close to our $10K goal. What a morning! We had the best time hosting Daniel (@dc.rainbowjeans ) and his team from @shoprainbowjeans at 87 Pembroke. Daniel is an avid runner and has decided to lace up for the @yorkvillerun in support of Street Haven. The race is just over a week away, and he's already raised almost $8,000. Incredible. So, before race day, Daniel and his team swung by 87 Pembroke for the full experience. A tour with Lilly, a conversation with one of our clients, Kim, and a quick visit to our kitchen with Colin. We wanted him to see the real, everyday magic that makes Street Haven, Street Haven. 💛 The Yorkville Run is happening September 20, 2026, and Daniel's chasing a $10K goal. We're officially a Starbucks FoodShare recipient! ☕✨ Our partnership with @starbuckscanada has been growing since the spring, from Starbucks employees volunteering at our shelter, to a community grant, to now being the FoodShare recipient for the Charles & Bay location! FoodShare is Starbucks' food rescue program (in partnership with @secondharvestca ) that gets surplus food from local stores into the hands of people who need it, and now that includes us. As you can see, our Comms Manager Katie and Janelle, the amazing manager at Charles & Bay, are so excited about this new chapter in our partnership. This is just the beginning, so stay tuned for more.
