What a day at the Moss Park Summer Festival! 🎉
Our Employment and Training team got to hang out in the community and chat with so many wonderful people over the weekend. We shared what we're all about, from our employment and training services to our Women's Healthcare Pathways program, and everything in between, all designed to help women build brighter futures.
Huge thanks to our amazing, passionate staff for showing up and showing the community exactly what Street Haven is all about. 💛

"I deserve something different with my life."
Erin came to Grant House at a breaking point, after nearly three decades navigating addiction and mental health challenges on her own. Today, she has over 60 days clean and is starting to build a life she's proud of.
Grant House treats addiction and mental health together, because they're never really separate. With welcoming, knowledgeable staff walking alongside her, Erin is now forming a stronger relationship with her daughter, exploring a future in this field of work herself, and discovering a new sense of purpose in her life.
This is what recovery looks like when people are met with the right support. 💙

9,671 shelter bed nights. 234 clients served. 9 clients housed. 🏠 That's what the past three months have looked like for our Shelter & Housing team, and every single number is a person who found a safe place to land.
Day in and day out, our team shows up with case management, advocacy, referrals, and the kind of daily support that actually moves the needle. This quarter, 9 women went from shelter to housed. That's the whole point of what we do.

We’re so excited to share that Street Haven has officially partnered with @Brandsforcanada 💛
And after just a few weeks, we're already blown away by their commitment to our community.
Last week, our Employment and Training team hosted a workshop called "Suitable Impressions" with Julie Ann Young from Brands for Canada. Clients learned how to nail a first impression, strengthen their body language, and build emotional intelligence. Our clients walked away with all the confidence for their next interview!
And that's not all, Brands for Canada is now sending us monthly donations of new clothes, toiletries, and gifts for our clients. Our first drop-off had us speechless. The generosity is incredible, and it's going to make our clients' day. I mean, look at the size of that bin!
We are so grateful for this partnership and cannot wait to see what's next! 🙌
If you or anyone you know are looking for employment support, visit our website to learn more about our Employment and Training services. Link in bio.

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, a day to raise awareness about human trafficking and to stand in solidarity with survivors.
In the past 16 months alone, 30% of the women we've served at Street Haven, have identified as survivors of human trafficking. We know that trafficking can hide in plain sight and there's no single sign that tells you someone is being trafficked. It can look like an unsafe relationship, housing insecurity, or a cycle of poverty that's hard to break.
At Street Haven, we believe every woman deserves safety, dignity, and freedom. If you or someone you know is experiencing human trafficking, please reach out:
Victim Services Toronto: 1 (416) 808-7066
Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking: 1 (833) 993-7867
Victim Support Directory: 1 (888) 579-2888
