Donate Essential Items
Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of women experiencing homelessness, poverty, addictions, mental health challenges, and housing insecurity. Every donated item helps provide comfort, dignity, and practical support to the women and families we serve at Street Haven.
We are always grateful for donations of new, unopened, and gently used essential items.
What to donate

- Body creams and moisturizers
- Bath towels
- Twin fitted sheets
- Non-perishable food items
- Feminine hygiene products
- Laundry detergent
- Dish soap and cleaning supplies
- Gift cards (grocery, pharmacy, TTC)
- Bus tickets / TTC passes
- Gently used winter coats and boots
- Unopened craft and activity supplies
Items we cannot accept
- Expired products of any kind
- Used or opened cosmetics
- Clothing in poor condition (stained, torn, heavily worn)
- Used undergarments
- Furniture or large appliances (unless pre-arranged)
These everyday necessities are among the most requested items by the women in our shelter, supportive housing programs, and community services. Your donations help ensure that women have access to the basic essentials they need to feel cared for, respected, and supported as they work toward stability and independence.
How to drop off
- Contact us first: Email fundraising@streethaven.com or call 416-967-6060 Ext. 001 to confirm current item needs and arrange a suitable drop-off time.
- Bring items to our office: Drop off during agreed hours at #1001-2 Carlton Street, Toronto, ON M5B 1J3 (near College Station).
- Schedule Pick-up: If there are a greater number of items, our team will arrange a pick-up from your location.
- Receive acknowledgement: Large in-kind donations may be eligible for a charitable gift-in-kind receipt. Our team will advise you at time of drop-off.
