  • 🍂 A Season of Gratitude at Street Haven! Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming another wonderful group of volunteers from GreenShield to our Grant House location for a fall cleaning day. Their energy, teamwork, and compassion brought warmth and renewal to the space our residents call home. Our partnership with GreenShield began just over three months ago and since then, it has flourished beautifully. With two volunteer groups each month, their continued commitment has made a tangible difference across our programs and spaces. From revitalizing our facilities to engaging with our community, their presence has been deeply felt. A heartfelt thank-you to @greenshield for your generosity, and to our dedicated Facilities team and Angelo Maggio for seamlessly coordinating these volunteer engagements and stepping in wherever needed. Together, we’re not just cleaning spaces we’re building community, restoring dignity, and creating hope.   • At Street Haven, we provide both shelter resident therapy, non-resident therapy services, as well as therapy to those looking to start their journey while in the treatment program at Grant House. The psychotherapy program is designed to address various challenges, including trauma, substance use, and other mental health challenges. The organization employs a harm-reduction spectrum approach, which includes abstinence-based perspectives, and offers support through individual and group counseling sessions, as well as aftercare and relapse prevention counseling. Additionally, the supportive housing program offers accommodations for women recovering from trauma, mental wellness challenges, or substance abuse issues, helping them set personal goals and live independently. Without mental health supports, prevalent mental health struggles like anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia become profound internal barriers to stability and self-sufficiency for women in our communities. Within our services, it is essential to empower women, help prevent relapse into homelessness and provide the needed services that create multiple pathways for women to continue their growing along their journeys. #mentalhealthiswealth #personalgrowth #mentalhealthsupports #empowerher #endwomenshomlessness
