Women's Healthcare Program

Program Summary

Women’s Healthcare Pathways is a free employment and training program designed to help women build rewarding careers in the healthcare sector as Home Support Workers (HSWs) or Personal Support Workers (PSWs).

Whether you’re starting a new career or re-entering the workforce, this program provides the training, certifications, and personalized employment support you need to succeed.

What You'll Receive

Participants will receive:

  • Employment readiness preparation and career coaching
  • Industry-recognized certifications through Idea Training Collaborative, including:
    • First Aid & CPR
    • Ethical Boundaries
    • Aging in Place
    • Conflict Resolution

Occupational training at IBT College:

  • Home Support Worker (12-week program), or
  • Personal Support Worker (32-week program)
  • A job placement to gain valuable hands-on experience
  • Ongoing employment support during training and after graduation to help you transition into meaningful employment

Eligibility

To participate, applicants must:

  • Identify as a woman
  • Be a resident of Ontario
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada
